Three steps, and you have a date

The calendar on aviationlab.eu shows the open events: the blue ones are online, the orange ones are on‑site.

STEP 01

Pick a slot

Open the calendar and choose an event that fits your roster. New dates are published every week.

STEP 02

Fill in your details

Your personal and licence data, the Pilot Network code, and payment. That confirms the booking.

STEP 03

Sit the test

You connect at the agreed time and talk to a live interlocutor. No exam centre, no travel, no day off.

What you need
  • Valid ID or passport
  • Computer with webcam and microphone
  • Stable internet connection
  • A quiet room, no interruptions
Inside the test

Twenty minutes, three parts, one person in front of you

It is a human interaction test: one candidate and one interlocutor, not a machine scoring recordings.

01

Conversation

Aviation questions with no right or wrong answers: the aircraft you fly, your career, airports you compare, the environmental side of the job.

02

Picture description

You describe an aviation image in detail. Then you discuss it: opinions, predictions, and defending your point of view.

03

Listening

Real radio communication recordings. You report what you heard and reason about what might happen next.

Operational contexts and technical references are used throughout, but the assessment measures your language, not your technical knowledge.

How long the certificate lasts

Level 6 is the one that stops the clock: for pilots it never expires again.

ICAO level Pilots — FCL.055(c) Controllers — ATCO.B.035(a)
Level 44 years3 years
Level 56 years6 years
Level 6Lifetime9 years

The assessment meets EASA standards and is accepted by EASA Member States. Check with your own licensing authority before booking.

Want to walk in prepared?

One‑to‑one or small group training, fully online, shaped around your level, your operational environment and the level you are working toward.

Standard phraseology, plain English for abnormal situations, the six ICAO criteria one by one, and listening under pressure with real ATC recordings. Intensive before an assessment, or paced over months.

Area 100 KSA: the employability advantage

Airline selection is decided by how you think, decide and communicate under pressure, not by how well you know the FCOM.

The programme works the nine EASA pilot competencies: threat and error management, workload, decisions with incomplete information, communication, leadership, teamwork and situational awareness. For ATO cohorts and for individual pilots; the KSA certificate itself stays ATO‑issued, as the rule requires.
